| Our Mission & History CREATIVITY IS KEY AT KIDS CREATIONS! KIDS CREATIONS, Arts & Crafts, LLC. was created with the desire to provide a fun, creative and welcoming environment to help children- Explore & Build their Imagination! We are not a franchise or chain of any sort. Kids Creations is privately owned and operated by a wonderfully caring elementary art teacher/mom. Staffed with only the most creative art ed graduates- your children are in great hands at all times! LETS ALL LEARN & HAVE FUN TOGETHER!! We try to instill the freedom and comfort to experiment with a variety of different art mediums while stimulating the imagination and comfort to create from ones own sense of artistic abilities. We provide lots of encouragement for your little one to come up with their own great ideas and each art project is tailored to the needs and levels of every individual children! No pressure for perfection here! We lend a helping hand or easy directions that will welcome creative and independent thinking in every child. Our goal is to open the imagination comfortably and help teach basic skills that will enhance your child's knowledge and skill base while creating a fun art project! Stifling the creative and blossoming mind of our young children is so easy to do! Sometimes we do not realize how simple phrases such as "What is that" can deeply impact a child creativity and self-esteem. Rather, we should say, "Tell me something about your painting, how you did it, what is the story, tell me about your painting! Nurture open questioning with an inspiring attitude. We must believe in the importance of art and more so, its delicate developmental process. The mature development of a child depends on the openness and willingness to express their inner worlds creatively in all arenas of their lives! For example: Scribble is a VERY IMPORTANT stepping stone to writing, drawing, reading, etc... FIND A SMALL AMOUNT OF TIME EVERYDAY FOR ART IN YOUR CHILD'S ROUTINE Please consider how problem solving and creative approaches to any given situation stem from the arts and are vital to the development of our children who will one day become our future leaders! Encourage the arts in everything you do! ******************************************************************************************************************************************** OUR HISTORY KIDS CREATIONS, Arts & Crafts, LLC. started as a home-based business in 2004 providing private art lessons and craft classes to young children. The very popular Craft & Entertainment Parties started at this time as well! We travel from the Hamptons to Queens! Our small Deer Park facility was opened quickly May 2005 due to the overwhelming requests for a more commercial location. Although our space was cozy it was big enough to house some pretty wonderful parties and really creative art classes! We are so thankful to have had the opportunity to host some amazing events in such a comfortable atmosphere! As our Kids Creations family continues to grow so will we! Sadly our Deer Park studio location closed August 2009 in search of a bigger and better facility! We continue to travel LI for all events without interruption! Bit about the OWNER and CEO of KIDS CREATIONS, Arts & Crafts, LLC. : Jennifer Moise Licensed and Certified by the NYS Dept. of Education to teach Art BFA in Art Education B-12 MA in Studio Art and plan to possibly go for an MA in Art Therapy. Currently an elementary art teacher K-12 in a public school during the school year Entered a student in an art competition and won 1st place- Long Island Go's Green- LINKS Inc. Spent two years exclusively working one on one with special needs children Art Instructor for several museums & summer camps in the past Member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children Member of the National Art Education Association Member of the New York Art Teachers Association Awarded Excellence in Art Education, Academic Achievement and Portfolio Excellence.
