Our Mission & History CREATIVITY IS KEY AT KIDS CREATIONS! KIDS CREATIONS, Arts & Crafts, LLC. was created with the desire to provide a fun, creative and welcoming environment to help children Explore & Build the Imagination! We are not a franchise or chain of any sort. Kids Creations is privately owned and operated by a wonderfully caring woman, mom and a hard working former public school art teacher. Although she is greatly missed, she has decided to go off on her own with the eagerness to help your little ones grow and enjoy the arts outside of a regular school setting! No prerequisites needed here! All levels of experience encouraged! No one will ever feel uncomfortable at Kids Creations! LETS  ALL LEARN & HAVE FUN TOGETHER!! We try to instill the freedom and comfort to experiment with a variety of different art mediums while stimulating the imagination and comfort to create from ones own sense of artistic abilities. We provide lots of encouragement for your little one to come up with their own great ideas and each art project is tailored to the needs and levels of the children attending the class! No pressure for perfection here! We just lend a helping hand or set of directions toward opening the imagination, learning basic techniques and expanding our knowledge and skill base as we create each project! We do not want to stifle the creative and blossoming mind of young children! Sometimes we do not realize how a simple phase as  "What is that" can impact a child creative approach to understanding the world and his or her surroundings. We must believe in the importance of art and how the development of a child deeply depends on the openness and willingness to express their inner worlds! Scribble is a stepping stone to writing, drawing, reading, etc... ART IS WORTH THE EFFORT AND TIME YOU SHOULD GIVE TO YOUR CHILD DANCE, SPORTS, GYMNASTICS, CHEER LEADING, ETC.. ALL COME BEFORE ART AND MUSIC BUT ARE EQUALLY IF NOT MORE IMPORTANT Please consider how problem solving and creative approaches to any given situation stem from the arts and are vital to the development of our children who will one day become our future leaders! ******************************************************************************************************************** A LiTTLE AbouT OUr HiSTory KIDS CREATIONS, Arts & Crafts, LLC. started as a home-based business in 2004 providing private art lessons and craft classes at the owners home in a small separate cottage on her residential property.  The very popular Craft & Entertainment Parties started at this time as well! We know coming to you in the comfort of your backyard is where the fun is at. We know this because that is how our family likes to party! We have since expanded to parks, public facilities, block parties, halls for sweet sixteens, bat mitzvahs & weddings, daycares, youth centers, etc.   Since space was getting pretty crowded in our small art cottage...we decided it would be best to find and expanded our business into a bigger and more welcoming location. Our new Deer Park facility   was opened quickly due to overwhelming requests for a more commercial location. Although our space is cozy it is big enough to house some pretty wonderful parties and really creative art classes! We are so thankful for this opportunity to expand our art based knowledge and really get our hands dirty in such an amazing and comfortable atmosphere! We thank all our previous and current clients and friends for their support and the great times we have shared together! We have listened very closely to the needs and wants of all parents and students in hopes of reaching others who are interested in the arts and exploring their creativity! ******************************************************************************************************************** I, The OWNER and CEO of KIDS CREATIONS, Arts & Crafts, LLC. Hold a BFA in Art Education B-12 and is Licensed and Certified by the NYS Dept. of Education to teach Art. I continues my studies to obtain a MFA in Studio Art & Art Therapy. I am a Member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children and a member of the National Art Education Association The last seven years were spent Preparing, Educating, and Teaching art in a public school both on the elementary and high school levels, assisting in museum setting, teaching art in summer camps, aiding a special education teacher for two years on the middle school level! All the while gaining recognition for innovative hall displays and art projects, lesson sent to Albany for other teachers to follow, etc... I am grateful for all wonderful experiences that have led me where I am today and would love to share them with you and your families! Honoree of a few Top Awards- Excellence in Art Education, Academic Achievement and Portfolio Excellence. Former Elementary Lesson sent to Albany to become part of the Elementary Art Curriculum Guide for a Public School District. And a lifetime love and passion for exploring, creating and introducing anything that has to do with fine art, crafts and education!!! We assure you that all instructors will be licensed art  teachers and professional artists, our staff will be college art majors, elementary ed majors, moms, experienced party specialists, nurturing caregivers and of course, more they any of the above Really, Really Nice, Caring, Encouraging and Understanding People! WE STRIVE TO BE MORE THEN JUST AN ARTSY PLACE  FOR YOUR CHILDREN, MORE THEN JUST YOUR BASIC CRAFT CLASS- WE WILL GIVE 1000% CREATIVITY AND ENLIGHTENMENT TO YOUR CHILD'S WORLD!
